Pups of Liberty: The Dog-claration of Independence

I was pleasantly surprised to learn recently that a new episode of Picnic Production's Pups of Liberty has been produced. This one is called, "The Dog-claration of Independence" and shows another scene in early America's quest for independence, with cats representing the British people and dogs representing key American figures. The brain child of husband/wife team Jen and Bert Klein, the 18-minute hand-drawn film also received help from other well-known Disney animators such as Mark Henn, Ruben Aquino, Dale Baer, Andreas Wessel-Therhorn, and others. It's always good to have a reminder of and be inspired by those who fought for our liberty.

A little over three years ago I mentioned Pups of Liberty and now it is available for sale. It's never too late to learn or re-learn how our country got started and became a beacon of liberty to the rest of the world.

Pups of Liberty

My animation friends Bert and Jen Klein have completed a film recently called Pups of Liberty. It will be showing soon at the Austin Film Festival and here is the trailer:

Featuring a purebred "pedigree" of animation and voice talent names such as Hyun-min Lee, Paul Willson, Philip Proctor, Steve Morrell, James Lopez, Mark Henn, Eric Goldberg, Barry Atkinson, Tony DeRosa, and Frans Vischer (check the Crew page to see this roster's extensive credits, many of whom worked on Disney's upcoming The Princess and the Frog) tells a canine version of the events leading up to the American Revolution.
